Once the calving took place, I can wait two to three weeks before equiping the cow with the Heat detector device.

It is advised to place the device at least two to three weeks before the expected heat period. It allows the transmitter to be settled in a proper way and to analyse a higher quantity of data. More data is available, more accurate is the interpretation.

I secure the cow at the feed fence

I place the collar with the transmitter around the cow’s neck

I make sure the cow remains at 2 km around the receiver

I get cows’ heat validation through a text message sent on my mobile phone.

Information available on the text message:

- Cow Number
- Best Insemination time frame

Advantage:

- I get the information at the right moment
- I increase the successfull inseminations rate

I convey / I know :

- The cow(s) identification numbers
- The best time frame to achive successful results

I improve my following results indicators:

- Interval Calving/ Fertilizing AI
- Numbre of return to estrus per cow / year

I make sure the cow is in gestation / fertilized (sonogram)

I place it on another cow
